Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Comeback Strength app collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to build your plan and back up your training, we never sell your data or use it for ads, and you can delete everything from inside the App at any time.
Information you give us
- Account: your email address, used to send sign-in codes.
- Subscription: whether you have Pro, your plan, trial and renewal dates, and purchase records from Apple. We never see your card or payment details; Apple handles payment.
- Profile: your first name, sport, the injury or surgery you're coming back from and any note you add about it, whether you've been cleared to train, your goal, training days, equipment and experience.
- Training: the workouts you log, including exercises, weights, reps and dates.
- Food: the foods you log, with calories, protein, carbs and fat, and your daily targets.
- Meal descriptions and photos: when you ask for an AI estimate, the text you type and any photo you take or choose (of a meal or a nutrition label).
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider keeps basic technical logs, such as IP address, request times and error messages, to keep the service running and secure. The App does not contain advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Health-related information
Some of what you enter, such as injury and surgery history, clearance status, workouts and food, may be considered health information or "consumer health data" under some laws. We collect it only with your consent, which you give on the agreement screen when you set up your account, and we use it only to provide the App to you. We do not sell it, and we do not share it except with the service providers listed below that help run the App.
How we use your information
- To build and adjust your training plan and show your progress.
- To back up your data and restore it when you sign in on another phone.
- To estimate calories and macros for meals when you ask.
- To send sign-in codes and reply when you contact us.
- To keep the App secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or use it to train AI models.
Who we share it with
We use a few service providers to run the App. They may only use your information to provide their service to us:
- Supabase: stores your account and backed-up data and runs our server functions. Data is stored in the United States.
- Anthropic: when you ask for an AI food estimate, your meal description and photo are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to produce the estimate. Your email and profile are not sent. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, it may not use this content to train its models. We don't keep the photo; only the resulting food entries are saved to your log. The App asks your permission before the first time it sends anything to Anthropic.
- Google: delivers the emails that contain your sign-in codes, so it processes your email address.
- RevenueCat: manages subscriptions. It receives your account's random ID (not your email), your purchase history and receipts from Apple, and basic app and device information needed to confirm purchases.
- Apple: if you download the App through the App Store or TestFlight, or buy a subscription, Apple handles that, including payment, under its own privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you have an account. When you delete your account in the App, we immediately delete your account and your backed-up data from our database, and the App clears its copy on your phone. Routine backups kept by our hosting provider may hold copies for a short time until they are overwritten. Technical logs are kept for a limited period. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat may be kept as long as accounting and tax laws require.
Your choices and rights
- See and change your information: your profile, workouts, food and targets are all visible and editable in the App.
- Delete everything: You tab, then Delete my account.
- Get a copy, or ask a question about your data: email us.
- Withdraw consent: delete your account, or email us. You can also decline the AI food feature and enter food yourself.
Depending on where you live (for example California, Washington, Colorado, Virginia, or the EU and UK), you may have additional rights, such as to know what we hold, correct it, delete it, get a copy, or appeal our decision about a request. Email us to use any of these rights. We will not treat you differently for using them.
Children
The App is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. Users aged 13 to 17 need a parent or guardian's agreement. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit between the App and our servers. Database rules let each signed-in person read and change only their own data, and secret server keys never ship in the App. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you as the law requires if a breach affects your information.
Changes to this policy
We will update the date at the top when this policy changes. If we make important changes, we will tell you in the App and ask you to agree again.
